The association began in 1923 as the St. Paul Officials Association. In 2010 the association merged with the Capital City Officials Association under the name of 'St. Paul/Capital City Officials Association'.
Our mission is to educate, develop and assign qualified football and basketball officials for the benefit of high schools and youth organizations.
St. Paul/Capital City referees have had great success over the years. Many of our members have advanced to the NFL, NBA, Divisions I, II and III football and basketball. We currently have two members in the NFL and two in the NBA. In addition there have been many, many high school state tournament and championship assignments.
The SPCC Basketball Pre-Season meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at North St. Paul High School in their media center. Check-in will begin at 5:15, meeting start at 5:45pm. Please mark your calendars now.
MSHSL should be sending their mailings out the first week of November.
If you are a NEW basketball official (3 years of officiating or fewer), please mark your calendars for a pre-season clinic and scrimmage opportunity at Park of Cottage Grove on Saturday, November 16.
The exact times are TBD, but plan on 9am-1pm for the time being.
